Celebrating the death of a human being is never appropriate. But celebrating a life is. On these occasions memorials can remind us not only of the fragility of life, but the sacredness of persons that we have and cherish with us today.
Jimi Hendrix was an inspiration not only in his own generation, but for generations after. Like all great composers throughout the centuries, his influence is present as an echo and an ever slight reminder of that influential fire of the human spirit and soul to soar ever higher towards the zenith of expression. Building not a Tower of Babel, but a grammar of transcendent language–Music.
And the work continues…
Hendrix has been “instrumental” in many ways, and not just to musicians.
We will always thank him for his “Slight Return”…
